The Qatari market, fueled by construction, logistics, and large-scale industrial projects, relies heavily on the availability of genuine and aftermarket heavy-duty parts for trucks, buses, and earth-moving equipment.
This role is for a specialist who understands the fast-paced, high-stakes nature of commercial vehicle maintenance and sales, and can immediately contribute to the parts division’s operational success.
The Specialist Role: Counter Salesperson (Heavy Vehicles)
This position is the frontline of the business, requiring a combination of technical knowledge, precise inventory management, and strong customer service skills.
Mandatory Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven, hands-on experience specifically in the Heavy Vehicles Spare Parts field (e.g., trucks, trailers, construction equipment like JCB, CAT, MAN, Volvo, Scania, or similar heavy-duty automotive brands).
- Technical Knowledge: Must possess excellent knowledge of heavy vehicle components (engines, driveline, suspension, air brake systems, filters, etc.) to accurately identify and recommend parts.
- Sales Focus: Ability to handle counter sales, process orders, provide accurate quotes, and upsell related products (like lubricants or consumables).
- Regional Advantage: Qatar experience is a significant advantage, indicating familiarity with local supplier chains, customer base, and regional market brands.
- Nationality Preference: Indian / Nepalese only preferred. This preference often relates to established supply chain languages, regional knowledge, and existing team dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Professionally attend to walk-in clients (fleet managers, mechanics, and procurement staff) and respond to phone inquiries regarding parts.
- Parts Identification: Use catalogs, manuals, and software (such as ERP or Tally) to accurately look up and verify correct part numbers for complex heavy vehicle requirements.
- Order Management: Efficiently process sales orders, coordinate with the warehouse/store team for stock issuance, and manage quotations and invoicing.
- Inventory Support: Assist in maintaining counter stock levels, organizing displays, and communicating out-of-stock or high-demand items to the parts manager.
